Dealer Verification Policy
Fast Cars Dealer is committed to maintaining a trustworthy marketplace for vehicle buyers and motor dealers.
Dealer Verification
Before or after activating a dealer account, Fast Cars Dealer may request information to verify the dealer's identity and business.
This may include:
- legal business name;
- trading name;
- business address;
- company registration number, where applicable;
- VAT number, where applicable;
- name and details of the person responsible for the account;
- telephone number and email address;
- website information;
- proof of business identity or address;
- information reasonably required for tax reporting obligations; and
- information reasonably required to investigate suspected fraud or misuse.
FCA Information
Where a dealer advertises or arranges vehicle finance, we may request details of the dealer's relevant FCA authorisation, appointed representative status or other applicable regulatory arrangement.
Acceptance as a dealer on Fast Cars Dealer does not constitute FCA approval, authorisation or endorsement of that dealer.
Verification Does Not Guarantee a Dealer
Verification is intended to reduce misuse of the marketplace. It does not constitute a guarantee, recommendation or endorsement of a dealer, vehicle or transaction.
Buyers should carry out appropriate checks before purchasing a vehicle or transferring money.
Ongoing Checks
Fast Cars Dealer may request updated documentation where information changes, expires or requires further verification.
We may suspend a dealer account while verification is being completed.
False Information
Fast Cars Dealer may refuse, suspend or terminate an account where information or documentation supplied to Fast Cars Dealer is materially false, misleading, fraudulent or cannot reasonably be verified.
